The Second Annual HDI-MEA Conference

The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) have organized the second annual HDI-MEA Conference and Expo, "Gateway to New Horizons", which focuses on call centers, customer services, outsourcing, IT support professionals and service management best practices. This international event is taking place from 26th to 31st of May, 2007 at the Hotel Intercontinental-City Stars in Cairo, Egypt.
Hosting the event in Egypt for the second time, the in-depth program will "break the boundaries of the status quo and prepare the participants for the opportunities ahead", says H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. Moreover, the conference is presenting the HDI-MEA "Team Excellence" that honors the world-class support organizations that have achieved the highest standards of excellence for delivering customer service and support, as well as the "Analyst of the Year Awards" that honors analysts that exemplify the best qualities among support practitioners.
Industry giants from the GCC, including Etisalat, HBS Petroleum, Oman Mobile, Qtel, Sabic, and Saudi Aramco, are represented at the conference. "These companies strongly support HDI-MEA initiatives, support their industry counterparts by attending the conference, and support their employees by sponsoring their participation in professional certification workshops," says Mr. Moustafa Kadous, President and COO, HDI-MEA.
Also on the program are top executives, international experts, and industry leaders from the U.S., U.K., the Netherlands, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Rounding out the agenda are global companies including Axios Systems, British Broadcasting Company, CompTIA, Computer Associates, Quint Wellington Redwood, Saudi Aramco, Xceed, Raya, and more.
